Francisco Pángaro, leads Repsol’s Carbon Storage projects evaluation for the Iberian region. He holds a PhD in Geological Sciences from the University of Buenos Aires, Argentina. After a 25+ years career in oil and gas exploration in different companies and regions, he shifted towards energy-transition projects to support Repsol’ Net Zero commitments. His areas of expertise are stratigraphy, seismic stratigraphy and tectonics. He has been involved in projects in more than 25 basins worldwide both offshore and onshore in Africa, America, Europe, Asia and SE Asia.
