Research Scientist at CN IGME-CSIC and Collaborator/Manager of the CTM/CTA area of the Division of Coordination, Evaluation and Technical Scientific Monitoring of the Spanish Research Agency since January 2020. Her research lines are related to sedimentary geology and basin analysis, with special emphasis on the determination of the influence of bottom current circulation on the evolution of continental margins and the characterisation of Contourite Depositional Systems (CDS), both in low and high latitude margins and from the Miocene to the present. This activity has been carried out in the framework of 47 projects funded by the Spanish National Research Programme, the European Commission Framework Programme, the IODP, the IGCP-UNESCO, the INQUA and the IGME, of which he has been responsible for 5 of them. He has participated in 25 oceanographic cruises in the Iberian and Antarctic continental margins and adjacent abyssal plains. He has been a member of 2 Technical Committees of the Interministerial Commission for Marine Strategies (CIEM) since 2015.
