Established in 2011, Hellenic Hydrocarbon Resources Management (HHRM) is based in Athens and is a state-owned company with the Hellenic State the sole shareholder. It operates independently as a private-sector economic entity with a mandate to manage the nation’s upstream sector and midstream infrastructure interests. Its core business is the assessment of the potential in Greece for energy-related projects and the monitoring of such projects. Research interests include CO2 storage which it considers key for the energy transition.

HHRM is the sole proprietor of a data library covering nearly 180 wells, recently acquired offshore 2D seismic data, legacy reprocessed 2D and 3D offshore and onshore data. This gives it the opportunity to study in depth porous formations and reservoir geometries for effectiveness not only as hydrocarbon leads but also as CO2 storage sites.
