Direção-Geral de Energia e Geologia
The Directorate-General for Energy and Geology (DGEG) is a a public institution from the central administration of the state, with the mission of contributing to the design, promotion and evaluation of policies regarding energy and geological resources, aiming for sustainable development and ensuring security of supply.
The Directorate-General for Energy and Geology is the result from merging Directorate-General of Energy (DGE) and part of the Geological and Mining Institute (IGM) in 2004. It is a public insttituion form the central administration of the state that as the responsability for the definition, implementation and evaluation of public policies related to energy and geological resources, with the aim of ensuring the regular and uninterrupted satisfaction of collective needs in the sectors under its responsibility.
