Expert in ICP-MS and Laser Ablation. Professional activity involved in geochemistry focus in trace element analyses in Earth Science. Development of analytical methods for Rare Earth Elements and Platinum Group Elements by ICP-MS and LA-ICP-MS.

Researcher at the IGME since 2009. Main Laboratory Technician during six years (2002-2008) together with junior researcher activities for five years (1998-2002). PhD. in Pharmacy UGR-2003. Master in Environmental and Water Management (1998-1999). 10 Science Citation Index papers and 8other papers in non-SCI journals. Attended 25 International and National Conferences. Participation in 11 projects with public funding.

Contribution in the certification of Reference Materials: CGL-19 MTA-1, CGL-18 MRH-1, CGL-208 Ash FA, CGL-207 MZnB, CGL-203 CuB, CGL-202 MoB, CGL-103 CuMo and CGL-503.

Experienced in the implementation of quality system in laboratories based in the UNE-EN ISO/IEC 17025 standard.

Qualified as internal auditor.
Senior researcher and manager of the project entitled “Development of LA-ICP-QMS system for the study of trace elements in geological samples” (2008-2010). Methods developed: REE and PGE analyses by LA-ICP-MS; Be analyses in corundum by LA-ICP-MS and clinopyroxene in-situ trace elements determination by LA-ICP-MS.

Lead the ICP-MS laboratory design enhancements including the management of the acquisition process of scientific instrumentation (ICP-MS Agilent 7500ce,Agilent 7900, LA ESI NWR 193, Savillex sub-boiling distillation system), Certificate Reference Materials and consumable items.
