Geology without barriers
At IGME, we work so that the dissemination of Geology does not exclude any group; that is true for all, without discrimination. With this objective, we will include different types of didactic resources for people with functional diversity in this section.
The Earth, a living planet: fossils through time
This audiovisual is adapted to Spanish Sign Language.
Its objective is to transmit a minimum number of basic concepts in palaeontology and geology in a simple and didactic way.
We will take a trip to the past in which we will learn about the fauna of the Paleozoic seas, the paths that dinosaurs travelled in the Mesozoic, and the world of mammals shortly before humans inhabited our latitudes.
Agreement with ONCE
The Geomining Museum and the ONCE have developed an accessibility plan for the collections that allows contact with more than forty pieces of minerals and fossils.
These copies are exhibited outside the showcases with cartouches in Braille and prominent characters.
There is also an explanatory brochure published in Braille about the Museum, its collections and the recommended itinerary to access the exhibition’s contents.
