Since its creation, CEDEX has been designed to serve as a high-level technical assistance organization in the field of civil engineering and associated environment.

This function is mainly aimed at providing the technical support required by the Ministries of Public Works and Agriculture, Food and Environment.  This does not exclude the service provided to other public and private, national or foreign organisations.
