Project description

Characterization of the new groundwater bodies proposed in the Miño-Sil river basin district.

The main purpose of the Agreement is to carry out a series of joint actions to improve the hydrogeological knowledge of the groundwater bodies of the Miño-Sil river basin district, due to the need to establish control points in the new groundwater bodies, in accordance with the requirements established in the DMA and consistent with the definition criteria used for its delimitation, taking the GEODE cartography as a geological basis, as well as updating data based on available geological and hydrogeological studies. These actions will be carried out jointly by the IGME-CSIC and the Miño-Sil Hydrographic Confederation.

Collaboration to improve knowledge of the groundwater bodies of the Miño-Sil river basin district.

Activities

Block 1

Collection, review and updating of information for the characterization of the proposed new groundwater bodies.

Geological review of the limits of new groundwater bodies based on GEODE geological cartography.

Definition of the specific works necessary to complete the characterization of the new groundwater bodies.

Review of hydraulic parameters for the hydrogeological characterization of new groundwater bodies.
