K. Patricia Sandoval is a geologist, graduated from the Universidad Industrial de Santander (Colombia), holds a Master's degree in Planning and Management of Natural Risks (Universidad de Alicante), and is currently a doctoral student in Geology and Geological Engineering (Universidad Complutense de Madrid). Her area of work is external geodynamics and geomorphology, with a special interest in fluvial morphodynamics and associated hazards. She has six years of work experience: three in technical consulting, two in university teaching, and one in research.
