Project description

The CLEPSYDRA project aims to develop and test an intelligent and comprehensive system, such as a Decision Support System, for monitoring and interpreting hydrogeological data related to aquifer behavior. Special attention is given to groundwater quality, particularly in agriculture and irrigation activities, due to nitrate pollution. The tools developed in CLEPSYDRA will help improve the environmental sustainability of socioeconomic activities by providing support for responsible water resource management and reducing the environmental impact of agricultural practices.

Groundwater is a vital resource for human activities, particularly for drinking water and irrigation. As part of the natural water cycle, it supports rivers, especially during the summer when water levels are low, playing a crucial role in maintaining water availability.

Targets

Our vision is to simplify access to scientific datas for water users and to build cross fertilization by sharing experiences and results on different situations, to address collectively the issue of aquifer management
