Emergencies with Science" conference, organized by the Vice-Presidency of Organization and Institutional Relations of the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC). This is a meeting forum between different organizations involved in and managing emergencies and the CSIC in order to analyze improvements in the CSIC's scientific advisory missions and to promote mutual collaboration. This conference is based on the scientific advisory work of the CSIC that was demonstrated during the COVID-19 pandemic or the volcanic eruption of La Palma. These emergencies highlighted the importance of scientific knowledge for decision making, but also the need to improve and strengthen our relations with other organizations involved in the disaster risk cycle, from prevention to recovery.
