The origin of the Santullán quarry dates back to the 1960s when the ownership of the company, currently the fourth generation of an independent family business group, developed a new exploitation of very high purity calcium carbonate mineral in order to meet the demand of all the heavy industry in the peripheral area of Bilbao (Bizkaia).
The priority criteria for opening the mining deposit were the high purity of the exploited calcium carbonate, practically inexhaustible reserves and its proximity to industrial consumption points, which initially were iron and steel, chemical and lime manufacturing industries.
All our accumulated experience in supplies of aggregates and calcium carbonate mineral both for industrial uses and for construction and civil works projects is totally focused on covering any need of our clients, no matter how demanding it may be.
