In 2003, the most ambitious geological cartography project that has been carried out in Spain was completed: the Magna Plan, which was born in 1971 with the aim of providing the country with a homogeneous and quality cartography. It serves as a support for the geological knowledge and as infrastructure for the economic and social development of the nation.
