The analytical and minerallurgical LABORATORIES of IGME have advanced equipment for carrying out a wide range of chemical tests and analyses, such as chemical analysis of water, petrographic, geotechnical and mineral processing, carrying out the official characterization of natural mineral waters.

Available provisions

Description

Carrying out geotechnical tests for the characterization of soils and rocks. It has a unit specialized in the characterization and non-destructive analysis of core samples (multiparametric determinations, XRF, tomography).
Petrographic, water, mechanical, alteration and finished product characterization tests are carried out on natural stone.
Identification, resistance and deformability and aggressiveness tests are carried out on soils.

The Testing Unit makes it possible to quickly and non-destructively obtain high-resolution geophysical and geochemical data from sediment and rock cores, for geological research. The facies classification obtained with these techniques allows for better planning in the case of selecting areas of interest that require destructive analysis.
It has a unit for the preparation of thin sections and polished test tubes.

Conditions of service

The request for analysis/tests must be sent to the email laboratorios@igme.es indicating the number of samples, the tests required for each of them and any other information that may be relevant for carrying out the requested determinations.

In the case of solid samples, it is necessary to indicate whether they will be sent already ground to analysis size.
Within an estimated period of 24-48 hours, the budget will be sent to the applicant, indicating the term for carrying out the analysis/tests and the amount of sample required.
As acceptance of the offer, the budget must be returned signed and sealed by the applicant, via email, to laboratorios@igme.es.

Sample shipping address:

Once the budget is accepted, the samples must be sent to the following address (it is not necessary to attach the documentation again)

Laboratorios Generales
C/ La Calera nº 1, Tres Cantos
28760 Madrid
(Indicate reference of the accepted budget)

Results:
