Gómez-Escalonilla Canales, Victor
Universidad Complutense de Madrid (ICM)

Degree in Geology (2014-2018) and Master in Environmental Geology (2018-2019) and PhD in Geology and Geological Engineering (2024) from the Complutense University of Madrid. He is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Geodynamics, Stratigraphy and Paleontology. Between 2020 and 2021 he enjoyed a predoctoral contract obtained in a competitive call in 2020. He has experience in hydrogeological modelling work, as well as predictive mapping of groundwater potential, groundwater contamination and groundwater-dependent ecosystems in countries such as Mali, Chad, Colombia, Chile and Spain. His main line of research is related to the application of artificial intelligence techniques to improve access to water in disadvantaged regions.
