Licenciado
en Geol?icas por la Universidad de Zaragoza en 2004 y doctorado por la
misma Universidad en 2009 (financiado por el gobierno de Arag?). Premio
de doctorado en 2010. En 2011-2012 fue investigador postdoctoral en el
Museo de Historia Natural de Londres y durante 2013 en el Museo Nacional
de Ciencias Naturales (Instituto Smithsonian) en Washington DC (USA)
donde continua colaborando como Investigador Asociado. Su investigaci?
se centra en el estudio de los Equinodermos f?iles Paleozoicos. A
partir del estudio de filogenias, micro-esc?eres CT, morfometr? y
estratigraf? secuencial trata de documentar como fue el origen y la
primera diversificaci? de los equinodermos. En 2013 obtuvo un Contrato
Ram? y Cajal del Ministerio de Econom? y Competitividad para
incorporarse al Museo Geominero (IGME) donde trabaja desde 2014. Su
trabajo se va a centrar en el estudio de los Equinodermos Paleozoicos
espa?les para tratar de reconstruir su historia evolutiva en detalle. A
partir de los f?iles tratar?de analizar como los equinodermos fueron
afectados por eventos cr?icos del Paleozoico como ?La Explosi? del
C?brico? y ?El gran Evento de Diversificaci? Ordov?ico?. Adem? de la
investigaci? propiamente dicha tambi? desarrollar?otros proyectos
relacionados con la divulgaci? de las Ciencias de la Tierra y la
protecci? del Patrimonio Paleontol?ico.
