Taxi to Alcalá de Henares (19 km) is the fastest way (20 min, about 30-40 Euro).

Metro (subway) to Madrid (2 Euro), and then combine with a direct train to Alcalá de Henares (2.80 Euro) as is explained below.

Bus Aeropuerto–Canillejas, either “Especial” (12 min) or numbered as 101 (20 min). From Canillejas, change to bus “Continental, Línea 233” to Alcalá de Henares (20–25 min). Alcala’s Central Bus Station is in downtown (see map).

EMT direct bus service “Aeropuerto to Madrid”, either green colour (to Colón terminal, 25 min) or yellow colour (Airport Express service 24 h). Near Colón lies the “Recoletos” train station (Cercanías Renfe, ressembling a subway exit). The express bus ends in the main train station Atocha-Renfe, also conecting Alcalá by the “Cercanías Renfe” (commuter or “suburban”) trains.

Underground exit Aeropuerto T4 or Aeropuerto T1-T2-T3 belong to Line 8 (pink line), and should be taken all the way to station Nuevos Ministerios (45 min from T4, 8^th stop; 35 min from the other, 7^th stop). Fare for Single Metro ticket+airport supplement: 2 Euro (there are automatic machines operating at the entrance of Metro which take cash and credit cards).

In the arrival station Nuevos Ministerios, you must change to “Cercanías Renfe” for Alcalá de Henares:

If you are already in Madrid and not coming from the airport by metro, you can take the “Cercanías” train in other alternative stations following the axis Chamartín - Nuevos Ministerios - Recoletos - Atocha Renfe, using the same lines indicated above to reach Alcalá de Henares. “Cercanías Renfe” train tickets cost 2.80 Euro.

Get off the train at Alcalá de Henares station (confirm with posted signs). There, you will find a taxi rank next to the station, or you can go by foot along the “Paseo de la Estación”, to reach the different hotels (see map).
