The TIAC’12 Conference provides a contribution to the implementation of UNESCO's International Hydrological Programme IHP-VII, within its focal area 1.4 “Managing groundwater systems’ response to global changes”.
In addition, TIAC’12 provides a platform for the presentation and discussion of the results of the activities under the UNESCO-IHP’s executed component on “Management of Coastal Aquifer and Groundwater” of the GEF/UNEP-MAP project Strategic Partnership for the Mediterranean Sea Large Marine Ecosystem (MedPartnership).
