EIONET is the European Network of Information and Observation of the Environment of the European Environment Agency (EEA) created by the EEC Regulation 12/10/90 on service since 1994.

EIONET is a Network of European Organisms which cooperates in the supply of the information needed by the State members and the Commission of the EU to take the necessary steps for the environment protection. The European Reference Centre for the environmental information, offers, among other services, information on the environment, directories, databases, reports of environment, etc.
